Job Creation

The organisation enhances the young people’s lives in all ways, mostly by helping them apply for better job opportunities and also taking a step into furthering their studies. Job creation reduces unemployment and it also lowers the poverty rate. When people are employed they are able to provide for their children and themselves. The more people work the more the economy become stable. Employment enables people to socialise, build contacts and find support.

The foundation created the following employment opportunities:

  • National Youth Service Program (NYSP): Is a government initiative aimed at engaging South African youth in community service activities. The programme aims at mobilising the youth to become active citizens of South Africa while earning income and increasing their employability.
  • Social Employment Fund (SEF): This 9-month program contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and improves the quality of life in communities.
  • Youth Employment Service (YES): It works with leading businesses in various sectors to provide 12-month qualify work experiences for unemployed young people to become future managers, skilled professionals and entrepreneurs who will drive the economy forward.
